If you want to experience Balis beauty beyond the beaches, go with Yatra tours! It is an adventure where Bruce and Ingela will keep you safe while you bike, hike and dive into waterfalls. The tasty food, fresh fruit and stunning nature will keep your energy up. I’ve taken a tour every time a visit Bali. Every time it’s something new.
We’ll meet together, at Penestanen Kaja village, just
outside Ubud, at our unique Yoga Shala Under The Banyan
Tree. Gather around this huge tree and experience a gentle,
heart-opening yoga session.
Afterward, we'll take a short stroll to Tripūrna house,
surrounded by lush rice paddies and views of Batu Karu and
Agung mountains.
Enjoy dinner to the peaceful backdrop of the breeze, ducks,
and frogs in the paddy.
Here we'll discuss the
adventures that lie ahead!
We will set off from Ubud's lively streets and explore the
peaceful villages of Southern Ubud. We'll travel through the
stunning terraces, uncovering secret treasures as we wander
the backroads. We park our bikes just outside cafe Green
Lotus, where charming & funny Wedi is waiting to serve a
delectable vegan feast.
Our journey today will culminate in a visit to the hidden
Cantika spa - the perfect place for an indulgent and
luxurious experience. Whether you choose a scrub bath
followed by a bath filled with roses, or a Balinese
traditional massage, you are sure to be pampered and
relaxed. Remember you are worthier than the worthiest!
We’ll meet and wake up our bodies with a gentle yoga
-session under the branches of the Banyan Tree.
Step by step, we’ll guide you how to make your own little
flower-offering-basket that you later will offer at the
water temple. These flower baskets, that we call Canang
Sari, are being offered every day. According to Balinese
beliefs, smoke from the incense sticks carries your offering
to all the Gods, Goddesses and ancestors.
Home cooked vegan lunch is served on the terrace with the
sounds of ducks and birds and the soothing feeling of the
breeze.
Before we head out to the water temple, we’ll get dressed
with the appropriate and traditional Balinese ceremonial
clothes, so you can enter the sacred areas and temples.
Over the bamboo bridge and through Ubud’s
backroads, we’ll son reach the waterfall temple, where we
will guide you through the different steps of the
traditional Balinese water ceremony, which is a very
important ritual in Bali.
Before we leave the waterfall temple, you will have the
opportunity to take a dip in the sacred waters for a
cleansing and purifying bath to complete your whole
experience. On the way up, we make an exotic juice stop at
our friend Wayan's place. Wayan loves flowers and grows
varieties that resemble those seen in the Avatar movie. From
the terrace, the lush jungle can be seen in all its glory.
In the afternoon, we will enter the majestic hotel of
Champuan and explore a cave adorned with monkey statues
decorating the walls and ceilings. Here, you have the choice
to plunge into a hot pool or slide into an icy one.
Leaving Ubud behind us, we embark on an adventure to the
mountains of the North – home to the Gods and Goddesses in
Balinese belief.
Our hike through the wild
jungle will lead us to stunning waterfalls, lush green
foliage, and clove and coffee plantations. We’ll take time
to swim in natural pools, wade through small river
crossings, and shower under the pure spring water.
The trek will end with a home-cooked lunch at the
mountain-cottage ‘Giri Putri’, overlooking the ocean
crashing into the shore. Check in to our tranquil mountain
retreat surrounded by lush greenery and the calming sounds
of nature.
We will wake to Mother Nature’s early morning chorus, and be
guided through our morning ritual and self-care practice.
At the end of Lake Buyan, Santi and his companions are ready
to take us out on their traditional Balinese dugout canoes,
over the tranquil lake.
At the narrow strip of land that separates the Twin Lakes,
we walk the short walk through the jungle and reach the
sacred temple that is embedded in the crowns of the jungle.
Home-cooked lunch is served on the terrace of
our Giri Putri mountain cottage.
When dark sets in, we come together under the ‘Wolf ’full
moon to perform a sacred ritual, expressing our profound
appreciation for the gifts of Mother Earth with sacred
mantras.
After a night’s rest and an energy-filled breakfast we are
ready for a new adventure.
We'll roll down the ridge to the local market, where a
variety of fruit in every flavor and hue will tantalize your
taste buds!
As we roll down a bit further, we arrive at the Yeh Panas
Hot Springs. Here we can get soaked in the warm water to
relax muscles and improve circulation or get refreshed in
the waterfall.
Lunch will be served with
breathtaking views overlooking the ancient rice fields.
After this is time to ride! Keen cyclists have the option of
venturing 2 kilometers off-road through narrow winding
paths. Another option is to take the main road to the Banyan
tree where the two paths meet.
From here, together we will cruise the meandering roads,
passing through lush hills and rice paddies, leading to
Sangeh monkey forest. Our final destination is the Tirta
Taman Mumbul. Huge trees shade the emerald-green lake,
inhabited by giant Koi fish.
This morning, we will take part in our final session of yoga
together as our extraordinary journey together comes to a
close.
After a nourishing breakfast, we will bid
farewell to one another, carrying the memories of our time
together in our hearts.
Built in 2020, this beautiful hotel offers a tranquil hideaway nestled under the lush tropical rainforest at an elevation of 1200 meter. It is hidden in the thick greenery with sweeping views over a dramatic landscape with rice fields draping down from the mountain all the way to the coast. The swimming pool overlooking the forest reflects the ever shifting sky above. You will stay in their cozy modern rooms, where you can continue to meditate on the scenery through large windows and open terraces.

Or as we call it; Melukat, which is an important ceremony in Bali. The word comes from “Lukat”, which means cleaning the body and mind from the 6 enemies, sad ripus or sad aris. These enemies, anger, greed, lust, envy, pride and confusion, are not enemies outside, but a possibility within all of us. The ceremony is a very powerful and profound experience, which helps us to connect with the divine and to balance our physical, mental and spiritual aspects.
