We would love to show you the breathtaking, gorgeous and simply stunning wonders or Bali.
7 waterfalls is a very special hike for us which we would love to share with you. It came about after invoking a trek where you would visit 7 waterfalls in one day. This trek shows the power each one of us has to manifest our own reality.
Your day begins with a pick up from your preferred location.
An early rise and shine, away from the noise, we head to grasp the magnitude of majestic mountains and to enjoy the tropical rainforest surroundings and the coolness of the calm peaceful mountain air!
Today we head towards Sacred lakes in the mountain area of Singaraja
Travel time to our destination is around 1-1½ hours. That means an early rise and shine so that we arrive at our destination while the air is still cool and the morning mists still hang in the air.
We will make our first toilet stop closer to the trailhead at our private facility; the Sri Giri Mountain Cottage. After this, all calls of nature will be either using a squat toilet or in the jungle.
We will enjoy some light breakfast, fresh fruits and locally made food, whilst from the terrace, on one side you overlook the jungle, and from the other you can see on the horizon of Bali’s northern coast. A real spectacle for your eyes, setting up the tone for more to come.
Any belongings that you don’t need on the trek you can leave in the house, where it’s kept safe and dry, so you can get ready to get wet!
Once at the trailhead, we’ll have a safety-talk & get ready for an adventurous hike to totally out of the ordinary places, to discover natural and unsoiled spots and hidden waterfalls. Trekking poles will be made available to anyone who is in need.
We start the trek with a Balinese ritual at the nearby temple and then we set off for the adventure.
The hike will take you through lush green jungle, clove and coffee plantations, tropical fruit trees leaden with exotic fruits, hidden caves and the opportunity for immersion into the exhilarating rush of endless waterfalls.
Once entering the jungle, we'll dive into the first watertall of the day, letting it wash off anything we no longer need. May it be sweat, mud, or limiting beliefs. You can hear it before you can see it, which makes your eventual arrival at the falls even more dramatic.
Next you'll be guided through magical jungle greens where, if we listen, nature comes alive with birdsong, frogs mating and cicadas singing their longing songs for their lover to come and visit them. While lifting branches and leaves out of our way our path leads us to 3 more beautiful sites
Just when we need a bit of a cooling off, a new watertall comes into sight and we can enjoy the next.
As you enter these majestic waterfalls, you may take your time to explore, swim in the natural pools and wade through a small river of cooling and refreshing eddies coursing through a limestone canyon. Take a natural shower under the pure spring water falling from the dark green cliff into a wide pool. Listen to the sounds of crickets, birds and the wind whispering through the tall trees. In the middle of the jungle, we enter a sacred cave and the Five Holy Water Temple; a place that seems to emerge from an ancient time; used for meditation and finding peace. This is a very special trek.
During the trek we will have plenty of stops to swim and shower in the waterfalls.
Refreshments will be served during the trek.
What better way to finish off a fantastic day of exploring than with a change of clothes, a beautifully prepared meal and amazing views overlooking the jungle!
You will be served a delicious meal made with fresh ingredients prepared by our staff, many from our own gardens. The reason is that we want to serve our guests not only the tastiest food, but also food that is healthy and goes hand in hand to support nature.
Giri Putri is a perfect place to relax, with views overlooking the jungle; the ocean at the horizon, crashing onto the shore of northern Bali. We will do our best to return you to your hotel or place of residence sometime between 4 and 5 pm.
